Just having the ability to take home video footage is amazing. The only problem is, no matter how good of a photographer you are, taking video footage without something to stabilize the camera can scream amateur when watching what you recorded. Now there may be a solution to this.If you want your videos to look like they were made while rolling along a professional camera track, there may soon be a way.
"Computer scientists at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and software giant Adobe have developed a technique that mixes 3D reconstruction with optical illusion to turn distinctive wobble of handheld camera footage into the smooth glide of a Hollywood tracking shot."
This is a great idea and is an amazing bit of technology. I'd sure like to try it someday. It may not be available for a few years though. Still... It's pretty awesome.
